Members of The Garden Club of Elizabethtown enjoy sharing gardening and horticulture tips, learning floral design, and working on community beautification projects. We sponsor our annual Garden Tour and Tea in June and a Flower Show in July. We maintain the historic gardens at the Brown Pusey House along with a Monarch Waystation at Freeman Lake Park. At our monthly meetings we have a variety of interesting programs, knowledgeable speakers, fun garden related workshops…and of course yummy food!

Rambler Garden Club
Organized on March 14, 1952, the club regularly invites speakers to present programs on varied topics such as Gardening in Your Garden, Landscaping, Wildflowers, Floral Design, Vegetable Gardening in Containers, as well as many more. Ramblers maintain a “Secret Garden” at Yew Dell Botanical Gardens. We welcome new ideas and we welcome you to visit Rambler Garden Club!

Formed in 1960 as a neighborhood garden club, there are currently 22 members from all parts of south Lexington. We are active participants in the Lexington Council of Garden Clubs projects, including the biennial garden tour and Lexington in Bloom contest, and the annual flower show. Our club meets on the second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. We meet at members’ homes or have field trips. Program topics have included vegetable gardening, worm composting, and how to prepare horticulture specimens for flower shows. Several members are expert gardeners in day lilies and roses. Our club’s civic project is the Waveland herb garden where we have received monarch butterfly waystation certification.
