The Cumberland Park Garden Club, located in historic Middlesboro,
was organized July 7th, 1947 and will celebrate its 70th Anniversary July 7, 2017

We are honored to have in our membership the 30th President of The Garden Club of Kentucky, Carey Huddleston. Today we have 17 members.

The club’s object shall be to stimulate interest in the growing and arranging of flowers and vegetables; aid in the protection of trees and birds;
encourage civic planting, and all other related activities.

If you are interested in gardening, ecological responsibility, and community projects, please contact us to attend our next meeting.

Club meetings are on the 4th Tuesday of each month, except July, at 10:30 AM.

The Cumberland Park Garden Club recently completed an upgrade to the Chapel Garden at Middlesboro ARH Hospital. In cooperation with the ARH Staff the garden floor was cleaned, soil samples taken and amended, sheeting/mulch and the brick wall cleaned. The new Cross was made by the ARH Maintenance Staff; Elaine Smith, ARH Community Relations, completed the design with decorative stones.  With design approved as prepared by Cumberland Park Garden Club and assist from Davis Bros. Nursery, the plantings suggested were purchased and installed by ARH. The Garden Angel was contributed by Cumberland Park Garden Club.  Horticulture included Variegated Liriope, Christmas Fern, Green Aucuba and Daffodil bulb for spring showing.  The Chapel Garden is open and welcoming for prayer and mediation during ARH hours.
