Members of The Garden Club of Elizabethtown enjoy sharing gardening and horticulture tips, learning floral design, and working on community beautification projects. We sponsor our annual Garden Tour and Tea in June and a Flower Show in July. We maintain the historic gardens at the Brown Pusey House along with a Monarch Waystation at Freeman Lake Park. At our monthly meetings we have a variety of interesting programs, knowledgeable speakers, fun garden related workshops…and of course yummy food!

Join The Garden Club of Elizabethtown for our August club meeting as we welcome Scott Hornback, the Educational Coordinator at Broadbent Wildlife Sanctuary. Broadbent provides care to sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. Scott will talk about native species and the evnironmental factors that affect them. To enhance his talk, he will bring live specimens of numerous scavengers and birds of prey.

Join The Garden Club of Elizabethtown members as we tour theBaker Arboretum. a sanctuary of nature and art.  This Arboretum has a tapestry of trees and art. We will see a showcase of 160 Japanese maples, conifers, many varieties of dogwoods and magnolias in a hilly woodland setting, so wear comfortable walking shoes.  We’ll visit the Joe Downing Art Museum.

  • We will depart ECA at 9:30 a.m. for an hour and half drive to Bowling Green, KY.

Club members bring their own plants and other items to sell to the community.  Members coordinate and perform all tasks required to conduct this large event.  Community benefits by attending and learning about the plants they purchase.  Sale begins on Friday, Sept from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturday, Sep 15, from 8 am to 2 pm.
