        The Painted Hills Garden Club

Morehead, KY

The Painted Hills Garden Club, in Morehead was organized and became part of The Garden Club of Kentucky in 1964.  Our purpose is: “To stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to aid in the protection of trees, plants and birds, and to encourage civic plantings”.   Our slogan is: All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today.

Our emphasis is community beautification.  We regularly work at Fountain Park, weeding, pruning and planting.  Other areas where we have lent a helping hand are the Life Care Center, Children’s Advocacy Center, the Free Clinic and others.

We are proud to have the 37th President of The Garden Club of Kentucky, Ann Fiel, as a member of our club.  Currently we have 28 members.

Our meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday at 10 am.  We have a wide variety of programs that cover horticulture, birds, floral arranging, butterfly gardening, environmental concerns, creating rock walls and much more.

If you would like more information about our club call Dee at 606-784-6175.   We are a friendly, causal group and welcome visitors.
