Franklin Garden Club is creating a Veteran Plaza at their town’s Post Office.

Meetings:  Social Time and refreshments start at 12:30 and the presentation begins at 1:00  p.m.  Our daytime gatherings are usually on the 3rd Wednesdays, but with different time and locations for Flower Show in September,  field trips in June and October, and a Holiday Party in December.  Our evening meetings are usually on 1st Mondays at 6:00 pm. Place: The day meetings are at the Cornerstone Building of the Presbyterian Church located at corner of N. High & W. Kentucky Streets.   The evening meetings are usually at the Literacy Center at 2131 College Street in Franklin. Please check our Franklin Garden Club Facebook page for meeting details and location verification.

Projects: Franklin and Simpson County are celebrating their bicentennial in 2019 and 2020, and the Franklin Garden Club is taking part by replacing the historic Hudspeth Well on the town square and creating a Veteran Plaza at the Post Office.  You can order an engraved brick online or Vet Plaza Order Form. You can download a souvenir copy of the Program for the 2019 Dedication Ceremony   online.

Come learn about the work of “Wild Ones: Native Plants, Natural Landscapes” a national organization with the goal of “Healing the Earth one yard at a Time”. A new chapter is forming in the SoKY area. (Due to scheduling issues, the topic has been changed from “Q&A with Master Gardeners.”)
