Hoe n’ Hope Garden Club, Inc., was established in 1953. It meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in members’ homes. Programs cover a wide range of garden-related topics, including horticulture, floral design, conservation, invasive species, beneficial insects, birds, etc. The club is very active in the community; they go to area nursing homes and arrange flowers with the residents; maintain a rose garden at the Arboretum in Lexington; and participate in many other activities throughout Lexington. As a fundraiser, the club creates floral designs for weddings. Many grants and donations are made possible by their efforts, and the members have an opportunity to learn and spend time together. It’s FUN!
