A day full of activities, free to children six to 12, starting at the Bourbon Co. Fairgrounds, followed by a special activity at the Bourbon Co. Library, and then lunch and an afternoon filled with a variety of fun activities that include planting, painting, creating while learning about the importance of our pollinators.
The children will participate in Smokey’s and the National Garden Clubs annual Smokey Poster Contest at the library. The posters will be submitted to The Garden Club of Kentucky, Inc. for competition with the winning posters (by grade levels 1-5) forwarded to the regional and national contests.
The Kids Day at the Arboretum registration begins at the county fairgrounds at 9:00am. Children will receive their goody bags and decorate note cards. The Smokey Bear program starts at 10:00am at the library. Lunch and afternoon activities are at the Nannine Clay Wallis Arboretum – The Garden Club of Kentucky Inc., Headquarters, 616 Pleasant St., Paris.
